Mac’s Urban Garden

During the past few summers, we've been enjoying delightful, freshly harvested produce such as lettuce, swiss chard, purple kale, red and yellow peppers, hot peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, two kinds of eggplant, and a variety of herbs, including mint, basil, oregano, patchouli, and thyme. Incorporating these freshly picked vegetables and herbs into our meals has made a significant impact, both in terms of taste and savings on our food budget.

It's important to note that having a big garden isn't required to implement the no-till method with living soil. This approach can work for gardens of any size, and you can even rotate plants and support multiple plantings in a season. Our garden is on a slight slope outside of our city home. If you're dealing with limited space, raised beds, grow bags, container gardens, or indoor/outdoor planters could be great options.
